2021 JASECOMP IPA Challenge Competition Rules

1.       All entries must be brewed by the person entering, if there are multiple brewers, it need to be clearly stated on the entry form.

2.       Commercially brewed beer is eligible to be entered for feedback purposes only (commercial breweries and brewers are not eligible for prizes).

3.       Entry fees are non-negotiable as below:

-          Paid CHBA Member: $10 per entry

-          Non-member $15 per entry

4.       A minimum of 2 x bottles (330ml or larger) will be required for judging purposes, organisers reserve the right to exclude from prizes in this situation.

5.       Whilst we take care with all entries, any loss, damage, or other uforeseen circumstances is the sole responsibility of the entrant.

6.       All entries are to be entered via the form HERE

7.       All entries must be registered on or before the cutopff date/time of 5:00pm Friday 19 March 2021.

8.       All bottles must be in Christchurch at Punky Brewster Craft Beer Fillery on or before Monday 22 March 2021 prior to the cut off time of 5:00pm.

9.       Hubs will be operating from the following locations, all of which will ship entries to the above on 15 March 2021, as follows

-          Hauraki Homebrew, Auckland (15 March 2021)

-          Brewtopia, Wellington (15 March 2021)

-          League of Brewers, Nelson (15 March 2021)

-          4Mates Brewery, Invercargill (15 March 2021)

-          Brew HQ, Christchurch (Alternative date of 19 March 2021)

-          Punky Brewster Craft Beer Fillery (22 March 2021)

10.   All entries received will be kept in cold storage wherever possible, any uncarbonated or bottle conditioned bottles will not be stored separately.

11.   All bottles entered must have an attached label, clearly stating the ID number of the entry (any bottle received with improper or unclear labelling may be excluded).

12.   Labels must be securely fastened (no responsibility will be taken by organisers for any label that falls off).

13.   Entrant may enter multiple beers, in multiple categories (Note: the same beer may not be entered into more than one category, please choose carefully prior to entry).

14.   Judges, officials, stewards and any affiliated parties are eligible to enter.

15.   Stewards & Judges are eligible to win prizes (this will be at the organisiers discretion).

16.   Entries which are unable to be commercially reproduced (i.e. wort kits or commercially brewed pre-fabricated wort kits) may enter, but will not be eligible for prizes that involve reproduction of the entry.

17.   Judges will participate in a Best of show round to determine an overall champion beer, all entries will be at the discretion of the judging panel (beers must be of medal quality to be considered).

18.   Any prize of a reproduction of beer, will require the entrant to give us access to their recipe. This recipe will be scaled into the commercial breweries setup as they see fit.

19.   Any entrant who does not wish to allow access to their recipe will forfeit their prize to the next in line.

20.   All entry fees are non-refundable (including damaged bottles, disqualified entries & entries not received).

21.   All Payment for any entry made must be made to the following account

22.   All Entrant must state the following when making bank transfer payments (no responsibility taken for failure to do the following);

-          Full name in first field

-          Entry ID in the reference field
